Beauty in Brokenness
They say that for a seed to grow it must be broken.
You see, there is a stage of dormancy.
A period where a thick, hard layer prevents the entry of necessary nutrients.
A period of stagnancy.
We are very much like a seed.
With our coats of pride, fear and shame
preventing the entry of the nutrients of God’s Word
from infiltrating and nourishing the soul of our hearts.
The seed coat may be broken in the process of sacrification.
A stage of preparation before germination.
For a seed to grow it must be broken.
Broken for potential to be released.
For us to grow we must be broken.
Broken for potential to be released, broken
to be remade into what He wants us to be.
Broken to no longer hold pride but contain humility.
with nothing to lose and nothing to prove.
There is a beauty in brokenness.
Without brokenness, where is the need for a saviour?
There is a rest in being crucified with Christ.
Nothing to lose and nothing to prove.
Shattering my will so that all I do may be filled with You.
Realising that growth is a process.
Brokenness a part of the cycle.
Beautifully broken for potential to be released.
Your glory to germinate and bloom through me.
